HISTORY OF KLÅVASTEN

The house where Klåvasten is located was built in the late 1800s.
1923 started Klåvastens Nursing for "feebleminded" with room for 22 patients, and in 1936 expanded sites with a smaller workhouses for 5 students. The year before, when the farmhouse with attached wings and garden frånskiljts from the farm.

Klåvastens Nursing conducted his business until 1971 and since 2002 is the beautiful building instead to hostels by new owners. In one of the rooms are hand painted wallpaper preserved, but also that which is newly renovated retains its old charm when all fitted out in an older style and with great care.
